Kardamili Messinian Mani

The doll-like town of Kardamili, with its stone-built houses that are placed in a always sunny bay, at the feet of Taygetos mountain, has evolved into a chic and sophisticated resort. The charming ancient city, the pebble-fitted beaches next to endless olive gardens, and the stone-built villages captivate all nature-lovers and artists, both Greeks and foreigners (mainly German, English and North Europeans), who have claimed Kardamili as their stamping-ground. Small hotel units with their unique characteristics, taverns in olive gardens that provide sea-view, aesthetics bars and a wide net of marked paths compose a small oasis of great taste into a fine resort, where visitors doesn’t disturb the peaceful scenery of a perfect Mediterranean location.

When to go

Kardamili is an attraction pole for locals and foreigners especially during summertime for those asking full night life or springtime if they are up to hiking. Autumn, or more specifically September and October, is the most preferred season by North Europeans, as they can perfectly enjoy the beauty of the village at that time, while avoiding the intense buzzing of August.
