Greece Wins ‘Star Family Holidays Destination’ Title by Travel Bulletin

Star Family Holidays Destination Greece 2018

The award in the category of ‘Star Family Holidays Destination’ for the year of 2018 was given to Greece during the yearly award ceremony of the British magazine ‘Travel Bulletin’, or more commonly, the ‘Travel Bulletin Star Awards 2018’, that took place last night at the ‘Landmark’ hotel in London. According to the Greece National Tourism Organization, this important international distinction, achieved only after a few days from the awarding of Greece in three major categories in ‘Conde Nast Traveller 21st Annual Readers’ Awards 2018’, shows once more the effectiveness of the communicational strategy for the international tourist promotion of Greece, made by the Ministry of Tourism and more specifically lead by the Minister of Tourism Helena Kountoura, and actualized by the GNTO.

TravelBulletin Star Awards 2018

The organization mentioned is one of the most important events for all the practitioners of tourism in the country, mainly because it is organized for the past 22 years by the travel trade magazine ‘Travel Bulletin’, which has almost 7,500 readers and is one of the most popular and authoritative magazines in its line of business in the UK. For these awards only professionals in the field of tourism have the ability to vote (T.O.’s, travel agencies, airlines, cruise companies, travel bloggers), a fact that makes every distinction extremely important, considering that every distinguished destination is promoted by the British labour market.

On behalf of Greece, the award given to the country was received by the Chief of GNTO of the UK and of Ireland, Emy Anagnostopoulou. Host of the ceremony was none other than the famous actor and comedian Rhys James. The award was shortly followed by a spectacular show put on by artists who have participated in musicals of the West end such as Mamma Mia.
